When I did my truck licence, they never mention this should be mandatory
I recently had some idiot who was doing about 30 kms in the left lane I’m coming 60 km which was the speed limit but a idiot was next to me doing the exact same speed down the hill I nearly collided with the truck doing 30 kms under !
i saw this video for the first time and was extremely impressed, so much so that i have watched it 20 plus times and will watch it 20 plus more times
The old roundabout was atrocious with two lines of traffic crossing as they entered it. The new design is fine apart from needing a few trees to be cut down.
Go dude ❤
Αυτά μόνο στην Ελλάδα γίνονται χα χα χα χα χα χα
Did they convert from broad to standard gauge.
I live in Texas and for some reason seeing cars drive on opposite sides makes me think a wreck is constantly going to occur
To this day people still get accidents on that roundabout but nice design add traffic intersection
Everyone that was involved with the project have done such a marvellous job.
People whining about the Goodwood Junction underpass construction but however it was well worth the wait by constructing this important bit of infrastructure to separates the suburban trains from the fright services but to improve safety in that aspect for pedestrians as well. People need to stop and think about safety ahead of there selfishness that safety does come first that railway rolling stock can be replaced but live can't be replaced. This same applies for the Torrens Junction a underpass needed to be constructed to separate the suburban lines Outer Harbour, Grange, Gawler central and fright line to actually aleaveate the congestion at the both GoodWood and Torrens junctions.
What a massive heap of shit that wasted taxpayer dollars
ANNA STACIA I MISS YOU FROM YEAR 3 😢
South Australian and victorian rural roads arent worthy of getting a defecting sticker on a Heavy Vehicle, they need to fix the roads and widen them, If they want to reduce the accidents
It will never be built
Replacement of privately owned vehicles to government fascist authoritarianism controlled UN agenda 21
Has Wifi but the bus looks like it’s about to die!
This cunt got bullied in school you can tell
This bloke is a fuckwit
Southern Flinders Ranges - not "Rangers"
Adelaide is far behind on trains. Finally they decide to get with Melbourne and Sydney
Is this still happening?
Maintenance works in preparation recently started near alberton, construction set to begin later this year
I go into Merritt BC 63,500kg 6% grade 15 km and I'm in 7th overdrive the whole time never smoked a brake
Of course there's no way I could stop lol
Dude what would these people do in the bc mountains lol We piss 6% with b trains
no one cares mate
Thanks for uploading this video. I love these old Adelaide videos.
Totally misleading bullshit!
Cut down a lane on each side of the road, so you can add a bike lane and lay grass under the tram. 😀😀
If drivers can’t work this out then they are drovers ,
And yet Adelaide couldn't do that fourth turn from King William in to North terrace at the same time as the rest of the intersection was being turned in to a major nightmare.
A truckie was fined for using his brakes descending this road recently. Why does such a dangerous road not have emergency stopping lanes? Why was such a dangerous design approved?
Drivers can get fined for touching brakes more than 3 times. They get pulled over if they don't and the cops assume the brakes aren't working at all
Because the old road was more dangerous. steep and windy and b doubles didnt exist back then.
@@philliphunt1579 actually, when the road was constructed, B-doubles did exist. But I don’t think they were allowed to operate in Adelaide.
All those trucks speeding past must be driven by idiots.
Trying to get from the North of Adelaide to the South coast has always been a slow frustrating drive along that congested and dangerous South Road. This bypass should have been built long ago.
I never thought I would watch a video on how to drive on one specific road lel
It’s not rocket science, pick a gear that will hold you and keep it.
Why not build an overpass at the intersection for the safety of the public? Hello, no brainer
Mountain around Adelaide, you wanna go into Adelaide City, you have to go down hill, or driving another 200kms to North of Adelaide, cost about 130L diesel, but still need to go down another hill.
all done
this is why railroad crossings are invented and pedestrian gates
Why can't you just change down to the correct gear?
For automatic gearbox, yes you can, but 18 speed road ranger gear box, you need to hit clutch once then back to neutral then turn rpm up with hit clutch again then engage into another gear, it takes 1 second to switch gear, but when you switch to neutral on that hill, engine rpm will quickly running out of range, you can up shift easy, but you never shift down gear. Only thing is quickly stop before truck brake failure then switch to right gear again.
@@---rw8xs ok thanks
Runs the risk of a runaway truck
Hey, that's my place! I live near it!
What about Port Adelaide? A historic suburb that has great potential if developed properly around it's historic buildings and wharfs etc. Start with better public transport infrastructure and the rest would follow. It really is a no-brainer.
3:05-3:12 Fascinating and impressive 🤨 🤨
And to think think that most of these drivers were drunk.
I know this intersection well. But honestly, it's a wonder there weren't 100 times more accidents here, the way these people are taking risks weaving left AND right of stationary cars!!
What went wrong with the trucks that dont make it is THE DRIVERS WERENT TRAINED TO DRIVE DOWN A MOUNTAIN its Not a HILL ITS A MOUNTAIN, I cant beleive some SMART PERSON Says its The RoAD, its Not the ROAD ITS THE DRIVER, THE GOV SHOULD BE TRAINING DRIVERS TO DRIVE DOWN A STEEP MOUNTAIN BEFORE THEY GIVE THEM A LICENCE AND THEY SHOULD BE NOT ALLOWING 24YR OLDS TO DRIVE INTERSTATE ON ROADS THEY HAVE NEVER DRIVEN ON BEFORE, PUT A TRAINED DRIVER AT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN SO A TRUCK CAN SWAP DRIVERS AND A TRAINED DRIVER DRIVE THE TRUCK DOWN TEACH THE INEXPERIENCED DRIVER AND GET IN A CAR GO BACK UP TO THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN AND DRIVE THE NEXT ONE DOWN FOR A DRIVER THAT CANT DO IT FOLS.
and you still get it wrong and fill out fines that are not legal 😂
I know it's an animation, but why (from 1:33 to 1:40) are there 2 trains running in the same direction on opposing roads without any form of safeworking protection???
also, I LOVE that this double bunger roundabout is now a tourist attraction.
Keep up the good work. Any news on electrification of the outer harbour line?
New traffic lights just like in my drawing paper
I like new upgrades traffic lights
